Fostering
Western North Carolina's Foster System in Crisis
The need for the foster care system continues to grow at an alarming rate, and Seeds and Sprouts® Kids is joining the community to better support this cause.

From 2010 to 2017, the number of children in foster care custody in Western North Carolina has increased by about 56%, with some counties experiencing almost four times the cases in 2017 as they did in 2010. (Source: https://goo.gl/8AS7sv)

Buncombe County has the most children, with 201 children in 2010, and now saw a 93% increase in 2017 with 387 children.

Seeds and Sprouts® Kids is firmly committed to doing what we can in the foster care crisis by donating unsold items at the end of our events to WNC foster care families and giving a portion of our profits to agencies directly benefiting the cause.
