Megan and Josh Knights are the owners of Salt + Light Acres, located in the quaint town of Saluda, NC. The small family farm started with the primary goal of becoming more self-sufficient. What started with just three chickens, has grown into a diverse homestead. They breed registered Nigerian Dwarf goats. The most abundant resource is the raw goat milk from their herd and they have been creating products that include goat milk soap, lotion, scrubs, and soaks. This has quickly grown from a hobby, to a small business and is their secondary goal. It couldn’t be done without the support of other small business owners, who want to bring locally made products to their communities.
